Villa di Corlo Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro DOC Amabile

Villa di Corlo Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro DOC Amabile
A Lambrusco as it should come from Emilia-Romagna: sparkling, fruity, with natural sweetness — the ideal introduction to the world of this underestimated sparkling wine category.
Villa di Corlo produces its wine in the heart of the Castelvetro region, south of Modena. The Grasparossa grape is considered the most powerful of the three main Lambrusco varieties—it grows on hillsides with heavy clay soil and yields deeply colored, more tannic wines than its lighter varietal siblings from the plains. The designation "Amabile" indicates a semi-sweet style with noticeable residual sugar, balanced by natural carbonation.
In the glass, it displays a deep ruby red with violet highlights and lively bubbles. The nose offers aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and a hint of violet. On the palate, it is soft and juicy, with subtle acidity and mild tannins—the sweetness is present but not cloying.
- Food pairings: Mortadella, tigelle, spicy salami or goat cheese — classic Emilian cuisine. Surprisingly harmonious even with chocolate desserts or panna cotta.
- Temperature: 10–12 °C, serve well chilled.
- Occasion: Aperitivo, antipasti gathering or relaxed after work.
