Tenuta San Michele Etna Rosso DOC

An Etna Rosso that brings together volcano and elegance: Nerello Mascalese from Mount Etna in Sicily, with fine tannins and a distinct mineral character.

For the Tenuta San Michele, the Murgo winery works with selected batches of Nerello Mascalese that are harvested at the right time. The long maceration at a low temperature extracts color, structure, and depth from the skins without making the wine heavy. The black volcanic sand of Mount Etna gives the wine its mineral line.

In the glass, the fruit of the grapes and spicy notes combine. The tannins are fine, the concentration is palpable, and the wine feels complex while remaining clear. The finish follows with hints of vanilla and roasted hazelnuts.

Recommendation: Serve it at 16–18 °C. It pairs well with pasta with ragù, grilled lamb, eggplant dishes, or aged Pecorino.
