Tascante Buonora Carricante Etna DOC Sicily 0.75L

Carricante from Mount Etna is one of Italy's most exciting white wines — a grape variety that was long underestimated and today shows what volcanic soils can do with it. Tenuta Tascante grows it on the slopes of Etna, where altitude and the mineral richness of the lava soil set the tone.

In the glass, the Buonora shows a clear, lively acid structure that is typical for Carricante. Aromas of citrus peel, white peach, and green apple, plus a distinct mineral note — almost like damp stone after the rain. In the finish, this salty, slightly sulfurous depth remains, which unmistakably reflects its volcanic origin.

It is best to serve it at 10–12 °C — with grilled sea bass, seafood with lemon, or a simple pasta aglio e olio. It also pairs well with mild goat cheeses from Sicily.
