Stemmari Nero d'Avola Sicilia

Stemmari Nero d'Avola Sicilia
A classic Nero d'Avola from Sicily — fully ripe, dark fruity and with a velvety mouthfeel, which goes well with Mediterranean cuisine.
Stemmari is a winery in southern Sicily, managed by the Mezzacorona winery. The Nero d'Avola vines grow in the Sicilia DOC appellation, where dry summers and calcareous soils allow the grapes to reach full ripeness. After hand-harvesting, malolactic fermentation with selected bacterial cultures takes place, followed by six months of aging in French oak barrels.
In the glass, it displays a deep ruby red with violet reflections. The nose offers blackberry, pomegranate, and wild strawberry, underpinned by a hint of vanilla from the oak aging. On the palate, it is soft and rounded, with integrated acidity and gentle tannins—not an angular wine, but an approachable everyday companion.
