Stellenrust is located in the heart of Stellenbosch, one of South Africa's most renowned wine regions. The winery processes grapes from its own vineyards and is known for accessible, varietal-typical wines that combine fruit clarity with a well-structured framework.
In the glass, the wine shows a pale yellow color with green reflections. On the nose, elderflower and gooseberry dominate, complemented by tropical tones of pineapple and guava. On the palate, lively acidity, medium body, no disturbing residual sugar — the finish is spicy and stimulatingly short. 91 points from Tim Atkin (2018 vintage) confirm the varietal quality.

The Winery
Stellenrust – one of the largest family-run wineries in South Africa. Founded in 1928, today it is home to renowned quality wines from Stellenbosch. 400 hectares total area, 200 of which are planted. Half lies in the Golden Triangle – known for the best red wine soils in the country. The other half in the Bottelary Hills, where cool breezes provide freshness.
The grapes for the “Kleine Rust” series come from there, from 15-year-old vines. Fairtrade certified, excellent price-performance ratio. Stellenrust – generations of winemakers who fill excellence into every bottle.
