Eberbach State Winery Mindfully alcohol-free

Drinking alcohol-free without sacrificing the character of wine — that is the promise of the Achtsam line from the Eberbach State Winery.

The Eberbach State Winery is one of the oldest and most renowned wineries in Germany. Its headquarters are located at Eberbach Abbey in the Rheingau region , whose monks were already cultivating wine in the 12th century. Today, the State Winery manages approximately 190 hectares of vineyards in the Rheingau and the Hessian Bergstrasse. The "Mindful" line was developed as a conscious complement for moments when alcohol should play no role—without putting down the wine glass.

In the glass, it presents a bright white wine with a fresh nose: light apple, a touch of citrus peel, and a subtle floral note. On the palate, it is lively, with mild acidity and pleasing fruitiness. The finish is short and clean—typical for alcohol-free wines, where dealcoholization makes the texture somewhat lighter than in the original.

Eberbach State Winery

The Kloster Eberbach State Winery looks back on a rich history dating to the 12th century. Founded by Cistercian monks, the monastery played a significant role in the winemaking history of the Rheingau region and remains a symbol of quality and tradition. Following the secularization of the monastery in the 19th century, the winery became state property and is now one of Germany's most prestigious wineries. The estate stretches across picturesque vineyards in the heart of the Rheingau. With a multitude of first-class sites and a long tradition of winemaking, the estate produces high-quality wines that reflect the terroir and history of the region. Under the guidance of experienced winemakers and oenologists, traditional winemaking methods are combined with modern technology to create wines of the highest quality. The Kloster Eberbach State Winery's portfolio encompasses a wide range of wines that reflect the diversity of the Rheingau. Of particular note are the Rieslings, the hallmark of the winery, renowned for their elegance, freshness, and minerality. In addition, the winery produces first-class Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, and other grape varieties that perfectly express the terroir and the winemakers' expertise. The Kloster Eberbach State Winery prioritizes quality and tradition in every step of the winemaking process. From the careful selection of grapes to gentle processing in the cellar, the utmost importance is placed on craftsmanship and precision. The result is wines of the highest quality, reflecting the long history and heritage of the Rheingau region.
