Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon WO 0.75L
The Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon stands for what Sonoma County is known for: ripe fruit, warmth, and an accessible elegance that doesn't need long explanations.
Silver Oak Cellars was founded in 1972 by Justin Meyer and Ray Duncan in Napa Valley and has since been dedicated exclusively to Cabernet Sauvignon. The Alexander Valley winery in Sonoma County provides grapes from one of the warmest parts of the region — Mediterranean climate, deep clay soils, long ripening periods. The result is wines with structure and at the same time a soft texture that reflect the character of the valley.
In the glass, dark berry fruit appears — blackberry, black currant — accompanied by hints of cedar wood and tobacco. The tannins are present but round and well-integrated, the finish long with a slightly spicy note. A red wine with body that appears neither overloaded nor flat.
Good with grilled ribeye, leg of lamb with rosemary, or a strong hard cheese like aged cheddar. Drinking temperature: 17–18 °C. Those who like it classic open the bottle an hour before pouring.
