Serre dei Roveri Barolo DOCG
A Barolo that brings the classic strengths of the Langhe directly into the glass: Nebbiolo from the Piedmont, dry-vinified, with the characteristic tension between fruit, spice, and tannin.
Behind the Serre dei Roveri line is the Sartirano family — one of the oldest wine merchant dynasties of the Piedmont, founded in 1871 by Giovanni Sartirano. Over four generations, the family has not changed its goal: to make Piedmontese wine culture accessible in all its breadth. Since 2002, Paolo and Guido Sartirano have led the company and, with the Serre dei Roveri line, bring the great DOCG types of the region into a segment that these wines rarely reach.
In the glass, the Nebbiolo shows its typical profile: ripe blackberry and cherry, underscored by rose petals and violets, plus spicy-peppery notes and a hint of licorice. The tannins are velvety and warm — remarkably accessible for a Barolo, without losing the variety-typical structure. The finish remains long and slightly tart.
Serving temperature 16–18 °C. At the table, it pairs with Brasato al Barolo, game ragù, or a ripe Parmigiano Reggiano. It also cuts a fine figure with dark bitter chocolate.
