Seckinger Weißburgunder from limestone

A Pinot Blanc that carries its origin in its name: limestone noticeably shapes the texture and minerality of this dry Palatinate white wine from Seckinger right through to the finish.

The Seckinger winery from the Palatinate works with indigenous yeasts and relies on reductive vinification — an approach that protects the fruit and emphasizes freshness. The limestone soil provides the characteristic tautness that distinguishes this wine from heavier loess sites.

In the glass, aromas of green apple peel, herbs, and yeast appear. The palate is lean and firm, with lively acidity and a mineral finish with slight astringency — typical for limestone sites. Not a lush, creamy Pinot, but a racy, dry wine with backbone.

Serving temperature 10–12 °C. Pairs well with grilled fish, goat cheese, or a salad with herb dressing. Also a solid choice as an aperitif for snacking.
