Sauvignon Blanc Platter Rieden QW Weinviertel 0.75L

Spontaneously fermented and matured on the fine lees for several months — the Sauvignon Blanc Platter Rieden from Fidesser shows what the Weinviertel region can do when you give the wine time.

The Rudolf Fidesser winery practices organic viticulture and emphasizes minimal intervention in the cellar. The Platter Rieden vineyard in the Weinviertel, Lower Austria's largest wine-growing region, provides the foundation for a Sauvignon Blanc with a clear expression of its origin: the continental temperature fluctuations contribute both aromatic complexity and freshness.

The wine displays the typical varietal range of aromas in the glass: green bell pepper, gooseberry, and a hint of elderflower, complemented by a lively acidity that keeps the wine lean and precise. Leche aging adds a touch more texture to the palate without compromising its freshness. The finish is dry and spicy.

Best served at 8–10 °C . Goes well with goat cheese, asparagus with hollandaise sauce or grilled fish with herbs — and is equally suitable as an uncomplicated accompaniment for a summer evening on the terrace.
