Sancerre Domaine Thomas Le Perrier

A Sancerre that demonstrates why the appellation is used worldwide for Sauvignon Blanc: clear structure, lively acidity, mineral character.

Domaine Thomas et Fils cultivates vineyards around Sancerre in the upper Loire Valley, where Kimmeridge limestone and flint soils give the Sauvignon Blanc its characteristic crispness. Le Perrier is one of these single-vineyard wines—named after one of the typical Sancerre lieu-dits with predominantly limestone subsoil.

A pale gold in the glass. The nose reveals lemon zest, white grapefruit, and a delicate stone fruit note, beneath which lies the flint characteristic of Sancerre, reminiscent of wet pebbles. On the palate, a firm, invigorating acidity with a creamy mid-palate—not a sharp cut, but a smooth, lingering finish with lemony freshness.

Domaine Thomas et Fils

Domaine Thomas et Fils embodies everything that makes Sancerre so irresistible: mineral freshness, vibrant fruit – and a family that has known for generations how to bring out the best expression of the Loire Valley.

Since 2005, Julien Thomas has run the winery in Chaudoux, which his father Jean established. On 16 hectares , five cuvées are produced – white, red, and rosé – entirely without chemical treatment. Zero. The vines are allowed to be vines, the fruit is allowed to speak for itself.

The result: Sancerre that not only tastes like a textbook, but like a real place.
