Sancerre Blanc Le Loup AC 0.75L

A classic Sancerre that shows why the appellation has been considered the benchmark for Sauvignon Blanc for decades: precise acidity, mineral depth, clear aromatics without frills.

Domaine de la Poussie is one of the established addresses in the Sancerrois, one of the most respected wine-growing regions of the Loire. The vineyards around the town of Sancerre lie on the Kimmeridgian soils typical of the region – limestone and clay from the Jura era – as well as on flint and pebbles. It is precisely this soil that shapes the style of Le Loup: mineral, taut, with a clear terroir fingerprint.

In the glass, the wine opens with aromas of gooseberry, citrus zest, and white peach, underscored by a characteristic flinty tone. On the palate, it shows a lively, well-integrated acidity, medium body, and a long, salty-mineral finish. Not a lush, creamy style – but a wine with backbone and length.

Best served between 8 and 10 °C. Pairs excellently with goat cheese from the Loire (Crottin de Chavignol is the classic combination), grilled sea bass, scallops, or a light risotto with herbs.
