Riesling Auslese - Trittenheimer Apotheke

Riesling Auslese - Trittenheimer Apotheke
An Auslese from the Trittenheimer Apotheke — one of the most famous steep-slope sites in the Middle Mosel, named after its healing effect on viticulture. Josef Rosch, a classic family winery from Trittenheim, has been cultivating these slate slopes for generations with a focus on precise, site-typical Riesling.
On the nose, the Auslese is cool and multi-layered: caramel candy, ripe apricot, and stone fruit meet light blossoms, a hint of herbs, and a fine biscuit note. Juicy and compact on the palate — a narrow waist keeps the fruit sweetness in balance without appearing heavy. The finish is deep, with lingering fruit and a slight herbal tone that skillfully frames the sweetness.
- Serving temperature: 8–10 °C
- Food: Blue cheese, foie gras, apple pie with crème fraîche, or enjoyed on its own as a dessert in a glass
