Oberrotweil HENKENBERG Spätburgunder trocken GG
The Henkenberg vineyard in Oberrotweil is one of the best sites in the Kaiserstuhl region – volcanic weathered soil, steep exposure, plenty of warmth during the day and cool nights that bring structure and freshness to the grapes. A Pinot Noir that shows what this site is capable of.
On the nose, cool roasted and smoky notes, along with bright cherry, a hint of redcurrant, and fresh herbs. On the palate, it is delicately juicy and lively, with a firm body that remains refined despite its power. The tannins are velvety, with subtle oak spice in the background, slightly drying on the palate – the hallmark of a wine with substance. The long finish brings back cherry fruit, ripe redcurrant, and roasted notes.
