Myers's Rum 1.0L

Myers's is a dark rum from Jamaica and has been considered the benchmark for dark rum in the bar for over a century.

The base is formed by pot-still and column-still rums that age in small oak barrels. Then it is blended until the color and taste are right. The result is a rum with a clear, sweet-dark profile.

In the glass, it opens with buttery notes, followed by sweet sugar cane, caramel, and honey. Added to this are dark chocolate, tobacco, and leather, accompanied by raisins and figs. The finish remains chocolatey-dark, with brown sugar, a smoky note, and subtle oak wood.

Neat or over ice, the sweetness and dark notes come into their own particularly well. As a long drink, it fits with ginger beer and a splash of lime (Dark 'n' Stormy) or in a Planter's Punch. The 1-liter bottle lasts accordingly long in the home bar.
