Marqués de Riscal Blanco Rueda DO

Rueda Marqués de Riscal, the most famous and traditional of all Rioja wineries, decided in the early 1970s to build a state-of-the-art new white wine cellar in Rueda. This ancient wine-growing region of Castile, with its cold winters and dry, warm summers, offers ideal climate and soil conditions for producing fresh, fruity, vibrant, and modern white wines. Marqués de Riscal's pioneering work has resulted in numerous successes at major competitions in recent years. The Rueda region and the Verdejo grape variety, native to the area for centuries, enjoy a reputation for producing one of Spain's finest white wines with a controlled designation of origin. The Marqués de Riscal Rueda Blanco is a floral, fragrant, spicy-fruity, and multi-award-winning wine whose versatile character pairs beautifully with any type of dish. Marqués de Riscal

Herederos del Marqués de Riscal is one of the most influential names in Spanish wine: founded in 1858 in Elciego, Rioja Alavesa, the estate was the first to systematically introduce Bordeaux winemaking techniques to Rioja – advised by Château Lanessan's cellar master, Jean Pineau. What began as a bold cultural transfer became an institution: the Reserva has been considered one of the world's most renowned Rioja wines for some 150 years, and since 1972, Marqués de Riscal in Rueda has demonstrated that Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc can be just as compelling as the classic Rioja red. More than 7 million bottles are exported annually to over 110 countries – tradition and vision united under one roof.
