Marne 180 Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Veneto 1.5L

The Marne 180 Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG comes from the Veneto and represents the powerful, velvety side of Valpolicella. The magnum bottle (1.5 l) is suitable for large gatherings and evenings with friends.

The family winery Tedeschi grows the vines on marl soils; the sites are oriented from southwest to southeast. Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grow here together. The grapes dry for about four months in a controlled environment, which accounts for the concentration. Afterward, the wine matures for three years in Slavonian oak barrels and refines for at least six months in the bottle.

In the glass, it shows a strong, clear ruby red. On the nose, vanilla meets red currants, blueberries, and cherries. On the palate, it is dry, velvety, and well-structured: fine bitterness, soft body, a hint of raisins. The finish lingers for a long time.

Recommendation: braised beef, game ragout, or aged hard cheese. Serve it at 16–18 °C and decant it beforehand so the bouquet can open up.
