Garnacha from Navarra in its purest form: Marco Real's Homenaje Rosado shows why this grape variety is at home in northern Spain — with a bright salmon-pink color and an aroma profile that leads directly to summer.
Bodegas Marco Real is located in the DO Navarra, one of Spain's oldest wine regions. The winery has been working with the region's typical Garnacha grape for decades—a variety that finds its best expression on Navarra's dry, calcareous-clay soils.
In the glass, a fresh, intense bouquet unfolds: strawberry, sour cherry , and a hint of red currant. On the palate, it is light-bodied with lively acidity that supports the fruitiness and ensures a clean, dry finish. No oak aging—the wine is direct and unadorned.

How does the Homenaje Rosado taste — is it sweet or really dry?
It is clearly dry. The lively acidity carries aromas of strawberry, sour cherry, and red currant, without any residual sugar softening the finish. Fresh, direct, no oak aging — steel tank, that's it.
What does this Rosado pair best with?
Gambas al ajillo, grilled vegetables, or a young Manchego are classic companions. It also pairs well with light pasta with tomato sauce or roasted poultry — anything that needs freshness, not heaviness.
At what temperature should I serve it?
Best at 6–8 °C — i.e., fresh from the fridge, with a few minutes in an ice bucket just before pouring. If it gets too warm, it loses its zest and tastes flat.
Does it work as an aperitif, or does it strictly need food?
It works perfectly solo — lightweight, dry finish, no tannins to get in the way. It is just as at home on a summer terrace or at a tapas evening as it is next to a plate.
How long does an opened bottle last?
Sealed in the fridge, it keeps well for 1–2 days after opening. After that, it noticeably loses freshness and fruit — this wine lives from its liveliness, so it is better to drink it quickly.
The Bodega
It was towards the end of the 80s when the Belasco family decided to pursue their ambitions in viticulture and buy Bodegas Marco Real. Bodegas Marco Real belongs to the town of Olite, which is part of Navarra and was once the seat of the kings of Navarra during the Reconquista.
The royal palace (Palacio Real de Olite) of Olite still bears witness to the former splendor of the city today. In 2000, the Belasco family acquired an additional 200 hectares of vineyards in Navarra and then also 50 hectares in Toro (Castilla y León).
