Mampe Half and Half
Mampe Halb und Halb is a Berlin original: a herbal bitter liqueur that has stood for its characteristic balance of sweetness and bitterness for generations.
The Berlin distillery Mampe looks back on a history that stretches back to the 19th century. Halb und Halb (Half and Half) is the company's most famous product – a recipe of herbs and bitter oranges that embodies the typical tension of a classic German bitter liqueur: neither too sweet nor too dry.
In the glass, it displays an amber color. The nose reveals aromas of orange peel and bitter herbs, followed by a subtle sweetness. On the palate, the bitter orange remains prominent, accompanied by spicy herbal notes; the finish is dry and long.
Traditionally, it is served half-and-half chilled, neat or on ice, with a slice of orange. It also works well as a digestif after a hearty meal or as a base for simple long drinks with tonic water.

Mampe – The best schnapps from Berlin since 1831
Nearly 200 years of history are contained in every bottle of Mampe. What was once mixed as a remedy against cholera is today a true Berlin institution – rough, direct and full of character, just like the city itself.
In the Berlin-Kreuzberg distillery, high-quality liqueurs, gins, vodkas, and classics like the legendary Halb&Halb – recognizable by the elephant on the label – are handcrafted. Only the genuine article has a trunk.
Mampe stands for Berlin schnapps culture without frills: clear attitude, best ingredients, genuine taste.
