Macon Azé Blanc Cuvée Jules Richard

This Mâcon Blanc comes from the area around Azé in Burgundy. The region is dominated by the Saône River and borders the Beaujolais region to the southwest. The soils of the Mâconnais are predominantly granite and have highly variable sun exposure. The Jules Richard cuvée, with its golden-yellow color, is a typical white wine of the region. The nose reveals aromas reminiscent of pineapple and mango. On the palate, notes of almond and hazelnut emerge, with a lovely minerality on the finish. This wine is a fresh, dry, and fruity delight! I had not expected that this

I had not expected that this wine was aged entirely or partially in barrels. I don't remember reading a note about it. I find the buttery notes in this aging rather unpleasant - but that is of cour...

La Cave d'Azé

La Cave d'Azé – that is Burgundy as it should be: grounded, communal and full of character.

Since 1927, the winemakers around the picturesque triangle between Mâcon, Tournus and Cluny have been making their wines together. What began out of economic necessity is now a lived conviction: together, more is possible. Two experienced oenologists oversee every cuvée – from the juicy Mâcon blanc to the structured Pinot noir from the oak barrel.

The Mâconnais shows itself here from its most beautiful side: gentle hills, diverse soils, clear sense of terroir.
