Lugana DOC
A Lugana that shows why the Trebbiano di Lugana grape variety thrives nowhere else in the world as convincingly as here: fresh, aromatic, with a clear line.
The Pilandro winery lies in the heart of the Lugana region, directly on the southern shore of Lake Garda and nestled among the characteristic morainic hills—a soil that imparts the wines of this area their distinctive minerality. The Lavelli family cultivates 16 hectares of vineyards, whose history dates back to the 13th century. The grapes are harvested by hand and rigorously selected, and fermentation takes place in stainless steel at controlled low temperatures—a method that consistently highlights the natural fruitiness and freshness of the grape variety.
In the glass, fresh apple, ripe pear, and a hint of white blossom are revealed. The acidity is present but integrated, the finish clean and invigorating. A wine that requires no patience.
Best served at 8–10 °C — as an aperitif, with risotto with Lake Garda trout, grilled sea bass or light antipasti.
