Louis Despas Crémant de Loire

Color and effervescence: pale gold to amber with a clear sheen and very fine, persistent bubbles. Aroma: fruity, aromatic bouquet with delicate hints of honey and fragrant brioche. Taste: fresh and full-bodied on the palate with good structure and a lovely, long finish, very elegant with excellent balance – a Crémant full of finesse! Only the best grapes are selected and brought to the winery. After gentle pressing, the first alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wines are then racked, very gently clarified by cold sedimentation (i.e., they are cooled until all the suspended particles have settled to the bottom), and blended to create the cuvée before being bottled using the traditional method (Champagne method) for the second fermentation. To reach its full potential, the Crémant then matures for many months in the deep chalk cellars of the Saint Hilaire - Saint Florent Abbey, until Louis Despas finally releases it for sale.
