Les Fumées Blanches Reserva Rosé

The perfectly ripened Merlot grapes for Les Fumées Blanches Rosé are harvested in the early morning, during the cool hours between four and nine o'clock, to prevent any oxidation and loss of fruity freshness. At the winery, they are first macerated for two to three hours, then gently pressed in pneumatic presses to extract the fine color pigments. The resulting delicate pink must is then fermented like white wine in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the wines mature for several months on their fine lees to develop a gentle richness and structure. They are then quickly bottled. For "Les Fumées Blanches," François Lurton uses screw-top bottles, which preserve the pristine, fresh fruitiness of the wines to the fullest. Colour: fine, glossy salmon pink. Scent: fragrant, fresh bouquet with delicate aromas of red currants, white blossoms and pink grapefruit. Taste: elegant and pleasantly fresh on the palate with the fragrant fruit of the bouquet (red berries, citrus fruits) and a fine balance of gentle fullness and liveliness, very charming.

François Lurton

François Lurton is one of those winemakers who see borders not as an obstacle, but as an invitation. The Frenchman produces wine in three countries: France, Spain, and Argentina . And everywhere he has the same goal: wines that truly tell the story of their origin.

In the Languedoc, he cultivates Mas Janeil , where old vines and Mediterranean soils produce wines with distinctive character. With Les Fumées Blanches, Lurton also demonstrates how fresh and vibrant Sauvignon Blanc can be – when given the right space.

No uniform style, no formula – just genuine terroir wines with character. Exactly what we at Vinoscout appreciate.
