LAN Rioja Crianza DOCa

Bodegas LAN was founded in 1972. At that time, the idea arose to use the first three letters of the provinces of Logroño, Alvala, and Navarra as the foundation for an outstanding winery. Logroño is now the capital of the province of La Rioja. Today, LAN stands for tradition, prestige, and renowned wines. The winery is located in the village of Fuenmayor, west of Logroño. The vineyards primarily cultivate Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Mazuelo grapes. From these, three "entry-level" wines are produced: a Crianza, a Reserva, and a Gran Reserva. In addition, there is the "Vina Lanciano" vineyard, a single site beautifully integrated into a meander of the Ebro River. Within this vineyard, there is a special site called "Pago El Rincón." Both vineyards produce carefully selected old vines, which are used for the three top wines: the Viña Lanciano Reserva, the Culmen, and the LAN Edicion Limitada. The LAN Rioja Crianza is made entirely from the Tempranillo grape and matures for 12 months in American and French oak barrels, followed by another year in the bottle. It boasts a fruity bouquet with elegant oak notes. On the palate, the LAN Crianza is harmonious and balanced with sweet and elegant tannins, and is remarkably powerful and long for a Crianza wine.
