La Grande Haie Sancerre Blanc

Sancerre from the smallest spot: The La Grande Haie plot comprises just 0.5 hectares — what grows there is vinified by cellar master Rodrigo Zamorano as an independent cuvée.

The Domaine Hubert Brochard winery is one of the renowned producers in the Loire appellation of Sancerre, where Sauvignon Blanc thrives on limestone, flint, and clay. La Grande Haie represents a more concentrated expression: rigorous selection in the vineyard, twelve months of aging in amphorae instead of stainless steel tanks—a process that rounds out the texture without introducing oak aromas.

Pale yellow in the glass. On the nose, citrus peel, white currant, and a mineral undertone reminiscent of wet pebbles. Smooth on the palate with firmly integrated acidity, a long, salty-mineral finish—typical of the appellation's best sites.

  • Food: Goat cheese (Crottin de Chavignol), grilled sea bass, asparagus with hollandaise sauce
  • Temperature: 10–12 °C

Domaine Hubert Brochard

In the heart of Sancerre – where the hills of the Loire sweep towards the horizon in sweeping lines – the Brochard family has been cultivating for generations what makes this appellation so distinctive: Sauvignon Blanc of mineral precision and Pinot Noir with velvety depth.

Hubert Brochard shaped the winery with a keen sense of terroir and craftsmanship. The wines tell the story of the flint and limestone beneath the vines – fresh, vibrant, unmistakably Loire.
