La Cuvée Mythique

The Vignerons de la Méditerranée are dedicated to preserving a heritage spanning over a thousand years: winemaking in the Languedoc region. The red grape varieties permitted for this regional wine—Mourvèdre, Syrah, Carignan, and Grenache—are also included in La Cuvée Mythique; however, the exact blend remains a secret. Each year, only the finest grapes from vines up to 100 years old, sourced from 42 carefully selected single vineyards, are chosen to create this exceptional cuvée, which is then aged for a year in oak barrels. Since 1991, the Les Vignerons de la Méditerranée winegrowers' cooperative has been producing its Cuvée Mythique, "the best wine they can make." This red wine, produced in limited quantities, has captivated wine lovers and connoisseurs in recent years and has garnered international acclaim. Wine critic Robert M. Parker has consistently rated past vintages with 87-93 points, and the British wine magazine Decanter lists La Cuvée Mythique among the "Top 100 Wines in the World" with the best price-to-quality ratio. A very good Corbières wine. Finely spicy bouquet, powerful, full-bodied taste. A typical wine from the region in Southern France. An exquisite blend of grape varieties: Mourvèdre, Syrah, Carignan a...

Not bad, but not good enough

An inconspicuous wine, the taste rather flat and woody. What is completely irritating: the wine smells of nothing at all! We tested it as a group of four and agreed: you can drink it, but you would...

Vignerons de la Méditerranée

Vignerons de la Méditerranée – the name says it all. Behind this cooperative from the Languedoc are hundreds of winegrowers who together bring out the best from one of the sunniest wine regions in France.
Here, Mediterranean lightness meets powerful depth: Grenache, Syrah and Carignan thrive under the southern French sun, producing wines that smell of ripe fruit, herbs of the garrigue and a hint of sea breeze.
Accessible in price, honest in character – ideal if you want to drink without complications and experience real southern France in a glass.
