Knupperkirschwein

Knupperkirschwein
Cherry fruit wine from the Glina distillery in Werder an der Havel — handcrafted, with a clear list of ingredients: exclusively sweet cherries.
The Glina distillery is located in Brandenburg, directly on the Havel River. Known primarily for its whisky and spirits, the distillery applies the same artisanal principles to its fruit wine production: simple ingredients and meticulous processing. Their Knupperkirwein (a type of cherry wine) is made from sweet cherries—with no additives except for sulfites as a preservative.
In the glass, it displays a deep, rich cherry red color. The nose offers ripe sweet cherry, a hint of marzipan, and light floral notes. On the palate, it is fruity and sweet with a sugar content of 12.8 g per 100 ml—full-bodied without being overly heavy. The finish is short and fruity, with a pleasant cherry warmth.
