Izarbe Rioja Gran Reserva DOCa 0.75L

A Gran Reserva from the Bodegas Larchago estate, bearing the signature of the Chavarri family: Tempranillo with a portion of Mazuelo, aged according to the strict requirements of the DOCa Rioja for this category.

Bodegas Larchago belongs to the Chavarri Group, one of the traditional families in Spanish viticulture. The Izarbe Gran Reserva stands for the region's Reserva culture — long aging, controlled origin, classic Rioja style with Tempranillo as the backbone and Mazuelo as a structural partner.

In the glass, it shows an aged ruby red with slightly brick-red edges. On the nose, dried cherry, leather, and a hint of tobacco — typical tertiary aromas of an aged Rioja. On the palate, it is round, with soft tannins and a warm, spicy length.

Serve it at 16–18 °C, preferably decanted an hour before drinking. Classic companions: leg of lamb with herbs, grilled churrascos, or a strong Manchego. It also pairs well with game ragout.
