Hinch Craft & Cask Imperial Whiskey

Hinch Craft & Cask Imperial Whiskey
An Irish whiskey that combines classic distillation craftsmanship with an unusual finishing process: After the initial maturation, the Hinch Craft & Cask Imperial spends additional time in casks that previously held Imperial Stout — a craft beer influence that leaves a distinct mark.
The Hinch Distillery is located in County Down, Northern Ireland, at the foot of the Mourne Mountains. The distillery uses traditional Irish triple distillation and consistently experiments with different cask finishes – the Imperial Stout Cask is one of the most distinctive results of this work.
Dark chocolate and roasted coffee dominate the glass, underpinned by roasted aromas and a hint of caramel. On the palate, a velvety, oily texture with a subtle residual sweetness—the stout's bitterness remains noticeable without being overpowering. The finish is medium-long with a light roasted aroma.
- Neat or with a single ice cube — this is how the barrel aromas are best brought out.
- A classic Old Fashioned with an orange zest twist.
- Goes well with dark chocolate or a strong espresso after a meal.
Hinch Distillery is located in the heart of County Down – in the middle of Northern Ireland's historic distilling region. Here, Irish whiskeys are produced that elegantly combine tradition and innovation.
Whether it's the smooth Small Batch Bourbon Cask , the smoky character of the Peated Single Malt , or the limited cask maturations in Madeira and Oloroso sherry casks – every bottling is distilled, matured, and bottled on-site. You can taste the difference. Discover Irish whiskey that forges its own path.
