Grasovka Polish vodka

Grasovka is a Polish vodka with a clear brand identifier: Each bottle contains a stalk of bison grass ( Hierochloe odorata ), which gives the distillate its characteristic taste.

The grass grows in the forests of eastern Poland and is added to the finished spirit. The coumarin it contains gives it the characteristic note, reminiscent of woodruff, freshly cut hay, and a hint of vanilla – milder and more aromatic than a neutral grain vodka. The alcohol content is a classic 40% ABV.

In the glass, Grasovka displays a light yellowish-golden color. The nose offers fresh herbs, woodruff, and a hint of sweet vanilla. On the palate, it is soft and oily, with a mild spiciness in the finish.

The classic serve: Tatanka – equal parts Grasovka and cloudy apple juice, briefly stirred and served over ice. Alternatively, it can be used as a base for sparkling wine cocktails, as suggested by the peach recipe described in the product text. If enjoying it neat, serve well chilled at around 4–6 °C.
