Grüner Veltliner Braitenpuechtorff Ingrid Groiss
The Grüner Veltliner Braitenpuechtorff from Ingrid Groiss shows what the Weinviertel can achieve in a fresh vintage: clear structure, lively acidity, and an unmistakably spicy profile.
Ingrid Groiss farms her vineyards in the northern Weinviertel near the Czech border – a region with a continental climate, loess-rich soils, and cool nights that give the wines freshness and tension. The single vineyard Braitenpuechtorff stands for precise, site-typical Grüner Veltliner with its own character.
In the glass, the 2024 shows a pale yellow-green. On the nose, white pepper, green apple, and a hint of citrus zest. On the palate, it is dry, with taut acidity and a fine mineral spice on the finish – the classic Veltliner play between fruit and sharpness.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C. Ready to drink now.
Pairs well with Wiener Schnitzel, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, or a fresh goat cheese.
