Famille Saby Château Saby

An accessible Bordeaux from Fronsac that scores with dark berry fruit and a soft structure – ideal for an uncomplicated wine evening during the week.

Famille Saby cultivates several châteaux on the right bank of the Bordeaux, including estates in Fronsac and Canon-Fronsac. The family focuses on Merlot-dominated cuvées that reflect the typical fullness and accessibility of this appellation.

In the glass, it shows a powerful cherry red with garnet reflections. On the nose, red berry jam, blackberry, and blueberry, underpinned by a hint of licorice and fine spice. On the palate, soft and full-bodied, with juicy fruit and pleasantly integrated tannins. The finish is medium-long and aromatic.

Famille Saby

Have you ever heard of a family winery that's been operating for nine generations? That's Famille Saby, from the heart of the Saint-Émilion region. Since 1775, this dynasty has been cultivating wine here with passion and vision – and their empire is impressive: 70 hectares of vineyards spread across seven appellations, including Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, Fronsac, and Lalande-de-Pomerol.

The Saby family's portfolio reads like a who's who of the Libournais region : Château Rozier, Château Saint-André Corbin, Château Hauchat, Château Bertin – nine châteaux in total bear their signature. Their Château Saby Saint-Émilion Grand Cru is made from 100% Merlot and delights with aromas of ripe cherries, blackcurrants, cedar, and dark chocolate. On the palate, it reveals velvety tannins, harmonious acidity, and a long, elegant finish. A true family gem – try it for yourself!
