Famille Pugibet Pugibet Rouge, Syrah Grenache

An uncomplicated southern French wine with a clear character: Syrah and Grenache from the Languedoc, easy to drink and aromatically dense.

The Pugibet family cultivates their vineyards in the heart of the Languedoc, one of the sunniest wine regions in France. Warm, dry summers and calcareous soils give Syrah and Grenache the ripeness that characterizes this style – full-bodied, spicy, with a Mediterranean expression.

In the glass, the Rouge displays a deep ruby red color. The nose offers ripe sour cherries and blackberries, along with a hint of undergrowth and dried garrigue herbs. On the palate, it is juicy, with soft tannins and a spicy note of black pepper on the finish – the typical fingerprint of a southern Syrah.

Serving suggestion: Slightly chilled at 16–17 °C. Pairs well with grilled merguez sausage, chicken with herbs de Provence, hearty charcuterie boards, or a summer picnic. Ready to drink now, no need for long-term storage.

Pugibet family

The Pugibet family has been cultivating wine since 1890 – in the sunny south of France, in the Languedoc region. Today, François Pugibet runs Domaine La Colombette near Béziers, where tradition meets the courage to explore new paths.

Here, alongside classics like Syrah and Grenache, surprising varieties such as Cabernet Blanc also thrive. The special feature: the development of fungus-resistant Piwi grapes , which thrive entirely without copper or sulfur – perfect for biodynamic wines.

The wines are fresh, vibrant, and full of character. A piece of modern winemaking artistry from the Languedoc that you simply must discover.
