De Gras Chardonnay

An approachable Chardonnay from central Chile that prioritizes freshness over heavy oak. Most of the wine matures in stainless steel tanks, while around 15% spends three months in small French and American oak barrels—this gives the wine structure without overpowering the fruit.

MontGras is one of the larger and more established wineries in the Colchagua Valley. Their entry-level De Gras line represents uncomplicated, everyday wines made with meticulous craftsmanship: clear vinification, precise fruit aromas, and an easy-drinking style.

In the glass, it displays pineapple, ripe pear, and a hint of vanilla from the brief aging in oak. The palate is fresh, with moderate acidity and a slightly creamy finish—not a complex, multi-layered wine, but an honest, well-made everyday wine.
