CUNE Rioja Reserva

The grapes for the Reserva come exclusively from Rioja Alta and were harvested by hand. Fermentation takes place under precisely controlled conditions, and the wine is aged in French and American oak barrels, followed by bottle maturation. The finished wine is garnet in color with reddish hues. The nose reveals aromas of wild berries, spices, vanilla, and roasted coffee, imparted by the oak barrel aging. On the palate, it is long and smooth with a typical, slightly fresh finish. Weinwirtschaft 2021: 90 points, 7th place; Tim Atkin: 93 points, Gold Medal, Berliner WeinTrophy

CVNE Logo – spanischer Weinproduzent aus Haro, Rioja, gegründet 1879

CVNE

CVNE – Spanish wine culture since 1879. Founded by the Real de Asúa brothers in Haro, the winery is now in its fifth generation. With over 1,000 hectares of its own vineyards, CVNE is Spain's largest private vineyard owner. Three Rioja bodegas, three worlds: the historic CVNE with its Eiffel-designed cellar, the spectacular Viña Real, and the revolutionary Contino – the first château concept in Rioja. CUNE? A misspelling from 1879, today it represents the approachable wines. CVNE represents the premium lines. The Imperial Gran Reserva 2004 was the first Spanish wine to be named "Wine of the Year" by Wine Spectator. Tradition meets innovation – Rioja at its finest.
