Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc AC 0.75L

The Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc from Château Mont-Redon shows what the white grape varieties of the southern Rhône Valley can achieve: not a heavy, wood-influenced growth, but a precise, fresh white wine with clear aromatics and lively acidity.

Mont-Redon is one of the most well-known estates of the appellation — in family ownership for generations, with one of the largest contiguous sites in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The Blanc is based on Clairette, one of the traditional white grape varieties of the region. Malolactic fermentation is deliberately avoided, and aging takes place in steel tanks — both preserve the natural acid structure and the purity of the fruit.

In the glass, medium yellow with golden reflections. In the nose, white flowers, citrus peel, and a hint of white peach. On the palate, fresh and taut, with a fine minerality on the finish that is typical for soils made of pebble stone and sand.

Pairs well with grilled sea bass with fennel, bouillabaisse, or a Provençal goat cheese. Drinking temperature: 10–12 °C.
