Château Tour Bayard AOC Montagne Saint-Emilion

A Bordeaux from the right bank that keeps terroir and grape variety in balance: The Merlot provides aromas of red fruits and spices, the Cabernet Franc gives the soft body power and backbone. This is considered typical for Montagne Saint-Emilion.

Château Tour Bayard is a small family winery with about 10 hectares of vineyards. Julien Richard manages it in the third generation. The family never wanted to grow, but rather achieve the best possible quality. This means a lot of manual work in the vineyard, the avoidance of herbicides, and exclusively natural fertilizer. For the winemaker, the terroir is the greatest asset.

In the glass, the dry red wine shows raspberry, cherry, and fine spice. The Merlot ensures a round, soft start, the Cabernet Franc provides structure and emphasis on the palate. It pairs with entrecôte, leg of lamb with rosemary, duck breast, or aged hard cheese. Serve at 16 to 18 °C.
