Château Pichon-Longueville Les Tourelles de Longueville 6er HK
Les Tourelles de Longueville is the second wine of Château Pichon-Longueville-Baron – and thus a direct glimpse into one of the best addresses of the Médoc, without having to pay the price of the Grands Crus.
Pauillac, on the left bank of the Gironde: Here, between Latour and Lafite, lies Château Pichon-Longueville-Baron, situated on deep gravel soils that allow Cabernet Sauvignon to develop unusual depth. Les Tourelles sources its grapes from younger vines as well as the Sainte-Anne parcel – vinified classically, with barrel aging in oak. The estate's philosophy of working with structure and aging potential is also evident here.
In the glass, it displays a concentrated ruby red. The nose opens with blackcurrant, cassis leaf, and a hint of cedar – the typical Pauillac profile. On the palate, dense fruit, firm but not harsh tannins, and a lively acidity structure that keeps the finish long and linear. With a little aeration, graphite and dark spice notes emerge.
Drinking window: now until approximately 2030+, depending on the vintage. Serving temperature 17–18 °C.
Pairs well with: herb-crusted lamb loin, beef fillet, mature Comté or Pecorino stagionato. Also a great accompaniment to a sophisticated dinner – without the budget of a Premier Cru.
Château Pichon-Longueville , better known as Comtesse de Lalande, conjures elegant Pauillac wines with refined charm and pure class. From the heart of the Médoc come wines that reflect the noble gravel soils and the classic Bordeaux landscape – a piece of history you can taste.
In the glass, it captivates with rich blackcurrant fruit , delicate violet notes, and a silky texture with elegant tannins. Typical of this Comtesse: sensual, harmonious, and with a long finish, yet always approachable and inviting. Here you'll find wines that bring Bordeaux elegance to life.
Perfect for those who appreciate fine red wines with depth, style, and a touch of seduction. A classic that never disappoints.
