Château Haut Barry Bordeaux Supérieur

Château Haut Barry Bordeaux Supérieur
A classic Bordeaux Supérieur that shows what the appellation is capable of: dark fruit, structuring tannins and a balance that far exceeds the price.
Château Haut-Barry lies in the heart of Bordeaux Supérieur – the appellation that imposes stricter requirements on ripening and aging than the standard AOC Bordeaux. Wines from this area combine the typical Merlot dominance of the Right Bank with the structural influence of Cabernet Franc.
In the glass, the wine displays a rich Bordeaux red with garnet highlights. The nose offers aromas of blackberry, black cherry, and plum, along with a distinct violet note and subtle spice in the background. On the palate, it starts softly, then becomes increasingly prominent – the tannins are noticeable but well-integrated, providing structure without harshness. The finish is long and intensely aromatic.
- Temperature: 16–18 °C
- Dishes: Entrecôte with herb butter, leg of lamb with rosemary, mature Cantal or Mimolette
- Drinking window: ready to drink now, will easily last another 3-5 years
Château Haut-Barry lies in the heart of Bordeaux – where red soil, an Atlantic climate, and decades of experience converge. The wines of this château bear the signature of a region that, like no other, stands for depth, structure, and elegance.
What we love about Haut-Barry: the classic Bordeaux soul you can taste in every sip – dark fruit, velvety tannins, a long finish. Wines that reward patience and tell stories.
