Château Gloria Cru Bourgeois

A Bordeaux with structure and pull: The Château Gloria 2020 shows how a Cru Bourgeois from Saint-Julien performs, namely powerfully built, but never heavy. In the glass, it is purple-black.

The winery is located in Saint-Julien in the Médoc, on the left bank of the Gironde. The blend consists of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 11% Petit Verdot, and 4% Cabernet Franc. The wine matures for 14 months in barriques, around 40% of which are new.

On the nose, black currant, plum compote, and blackberry are at the front, accompanied by cinnamon and spice nuances as well as cedar wood, menthol, and graphite. On the palate, it appears powerful but elegant; the tannins are velvety and the freshness remains precise. The finish is long and spicy. The wine is dry-aged.

Serve it at 16 to 18 °C, preferably decanted. It pairs well with beef fillet or rack of lamb and also with porcini mushroom risotto.
