Château Cardus second wine Ch. La Cardonne 0.75L

An accessible Bordeaux red wine from the Médoc that combines classic style with an uncomplicated character. Château Cardus is the second wine of Château La Cardonne — an estate in the northern Médoc that is one of the most famous Cru Bourgeois addresses of the appellation.

In the glass, the Cabernet Franc shows medium depth, carried by aromas of ripe red berries, cassis, and a hint of graphite. The mouthfeel is soft, the tannins are present but well-integrated — typical for the accessible style of a second wine that bears the signature of its big brother without bringing its need for aging.

Best served at 16–17 °C. Pairs well with a lamb chop with herb crust, entrecôte, or a hearty beef stew. Also a solid accompaniment to aged cheddar or Comté.
