Carlos Serres Reserve

The Carlos Serres Reserva from Rioja represents classic Spanish craftsmanship: Tempranillo with depth, structure and the characteristic oak tone that makes the Rioja tradition so distinctive.

Bodegas Carlos Serres is one of the oldest wineries in the Rioja Alta. Founded in 1896 in Haro—the historical center of Rioja winemaking—the winery has been working with Tempranillo grapes for over a century on the region's clay-limestone soils. Reserva here signifies a minimum of three years of aging, including one year in oak barrels.

In the glass, the wine displays a deep ruby red. The nose offers aromas of blackberry, plum, and leather, underpinned by vanilla and a hint of tobacco from barrel aging. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with ripe tannins and a pleasant structure, culminating in a long, spicy finish.

BODEGAS CARLOS SERRES, SL

Bodegas Carlos Serres was founded in 1896 by Carlos Serres in Haro – in the heart of the Rioja Alta, where clayey-limestone soils, continental climate and proximity to the Ebro river form the basis for age-worthy Rioja wines.

Haro is considered the unofficial wine capital of Rioja, and Serres is one of the wineries that have helped shape this reputation. Their range extends from fresh Jóvenes made from Tempranillo and Viura to Crianza, Reserva, and Gran Reserva – complemented by an organic line and the single-vineyard wine Finca El Estanque.
