Canonita de Mallorca

Canonita de Mallorca
A Mallorcan aperitif that consistently focuses on the island: Canonita from Antonio Nadal Distilleries is based on the Canoneta orange – a variety native to Mallorca, which is harvested from January to May and peeled and macerated immediately after harvesting.
What makes this production special: Antonio Nadal uses a steam maceration process that gently extracts the essential oils from the peel without producing any bitterness. At the same time, Mallorcan herbs – including organically grown artemisia – are processed using the same method. The resulting essences are then blended with a local white wine, which is specially clarified and bottled for this purpose.
The result: fruity and fresh, with a herbaceous depth and a clear citrus note. Serve chilled as an aperitif, over ice with a splash of soda water, or as a base for light summer cocktails. A perfect start to a seafood meal or Mallorcan tapas.

Antonio Nadal – Mallorcan liqueur craftsmanship since 1898. Founded in Buñola, exports expanded to South America in the 1920s – until the civil war. The tradition was revived in the post-war years. In the 1980s, the Morey-Garau family took over the company in its third generation. They invested, modernized, and expanded. Production reached 80,000 liters in 1986 and 2 million liters by 2000. In 1998, the company relocated to Marratxí, again undergoing extensive modernization. Today, Antonio Nadal stands for Mallorcan quality steeped in tradition – and a forward-looking vision.
