Buffalo Trace 1.0L

Buffalo Trace is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon whose distinct sweetness comes from the high corn content in the mash bill. It is produced by the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. It is aged for at least seven years in heavily charred barrels, and the 1-liter bottle is a practical supply for the bar and home use.

The nose first reveals a light spice, followed by mint, molasses, and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, it is balanced and spicy, carried by brown sugar and vanilla. Oak and grain lead into the long, dry finish, in which plenty of vanilla resonates once more.

Try it neat first. With a splash of water, fruity notes emerge. On ice, it remains soft and accessible. The sweetness of corn and vanilla also makes it a reliable base for an Old Fashioned or Manhattan.
