Brut Théophile Champagne Théophile Roederer 0.75L
Brut Théophile is the entry point into the world of Théophile Roederer — a house closely linked to the Champagne tradition of Maison Louis Roederer. Louis Roederer is one of the few large Champagne houses that is still entirely family-owned, and this independence is reflected in the consistent quality management that also defines the Théophile line. The cuvée relies on the classic trio: one-third each of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier from various sites in Champagne — an approach that brings freshness, structure, and fullness into a balanced ratio.
In the glass, it shows a fine, persistent perlage with a creamy texture. On the nose, aromas of white peach, citrus zest, and fresh brioche — the typical profile of a carefully composed non-vintage brut. On the palate, the Chardonnay portion contributes a lively acid structure that keeps the wine taut without making it feel lean. The Pinot Noir provides body and a light berry fruit in the background, while the Pinot Meunier rounds it off with soft fullness. The finish is dry, clean, and accompanied by a fine mineral note.
Well-chilled to 8–10 °C, it makes a great impression as an aperitif — or accompanies salmon tartare, prawns with lime butter, seared scallops, or mild soft cheese like Brie de Meaux. It also impresses as a companion to a light seafood risotto with its balance of freshness and fullness.
