Bodegas Caro Malbec Argentino

Bodegas Caro Malbec Argentino
A Malbec that shows what Mendoza can do when two wine worlds work together: Bodegas Caro is a joint venture between the Argentine Catena family and the Rothschilds from Bordeaux — Domaine Barons de Rothschild (Lafite).
The Malbec Argentino is the entry into this collaboration, vinified from grapes from the high altitudes of Mendoza at over 900 meters. The altitude brings cooler nights, more UV intensity, and thus more concentrated fruit with a simultaneously fresh acidity structure.
In the glass: aromas of blackberry, violets, and plum, underscored by a hint of mint and dark cocoa. On the palate, medium body, velvety tannins, lively acidity — not a heavy blockbuster, but a Malbec with structure and drive. The finish is fresh and shows red fruit.
- Food: Grilled beef (Asado), lamb chops with herbs, mature Manchego
- Temperature: 16–18 °C
