Bodega Son Mayol Premier Vin Son Mayol

A Mallorcan red wine with a clear signature: early-ripening grapes from the hot 2017 vintage, carefully selected, with youthful fruit and Mediterranean warmth in the glass.

Bodega Son Mayol is located in the hinterland of Mallorca, far removed from the clichés of coastal tourism. The winery focuses on meticulous vineyard management and utilizes the intense sunshine of the Balearic Islands to harvest grapes with high aromatic ripeness – without sacrificing freshness.

In the glass, the Premier Vin displays a deep ruby red color. The nose offers aromas of blackcurrant and blackberry, underpinned by vanilla and a spicy hint of white pepper. On the palate, it is fully ripe, with a rounded body and soft tannins—typical of warm island vineyards. The finish is long, slightly smoky, with lingering dark fruit.

Bodega Son Mayol

A Swiss entrepreneur falls in love with Mallorca – and decides to build the perfect winery there. This isn't a romance, it's the true story of Bodega Son Mayol . Gregory Hirschmann bought the estate and brought on board Patrick Léon (who spent 20 years at Château Mouton Rothschild), a true star oenologist.

The result? A high-tech, three-level winery , built for the gentlest possible processing: The grapes fall by gravity from top to bottom – no pump to crush them. Bordeaux grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grow on 25 hectares across 35 different terroirs . The wines are powerful, spicy, and elegant – with aromas of plum, licorice, and fine tannins. A true piece of Bordeaux on Mallorca.
