Numanthia is the flagship wine of the estate, renowned as a benchmark for the Toro designation. The wine is a subtle blend of grapes from over 100 parcels in the finest terroirs, offering unparalleled balance, elegance, and power. The style of Numanthia hinges on the selection of exceptional vines, between 50 and 100 years old, ungrafted, and unirrigated. Their low yields produce grapes of extreme concentration year after year, with intense fruit and structure. The 2016 vintage will be remembered for its aromas of deep red and black fruits and its generous texture. Color: Mature cherry red with ruby ​​highlights. Numanthia is expressive and profound, with hints of red berries, smoky notes, garrigue aromas, and a background of sweet spices. The initial impression is soft, quickly filling the palate with great intensity. The velvety, ripe tannins blend beautifully with the generous and voluminous texture. Black fruits such as blueberries and blackcurrants, notes of violets, and a hint of black pepper, cloves, and tobacco leaf create complexity and length, surrounded by good acidity.
