Bobby's Gin

Bobby's Gin
Bobby's Gin combines two worlds: the spicy depth of Dutch genever and the clear botanicals of a modern dry gin — unique, not an interchangeable London Dry.
This gin is a tribute to Robert Alfons, an Indonesian who came to the Netherlands after World War II and passed on his passion for spices to his grandchildren. This heritage shapes the botanical profile: alongside juniper and citrus peel, it features cumin, cubeb pepper, and Indonesian lemongrass. It is distilled in Schiedam, the historical home of genever.
In the glass, a creamy start with pronounced juniper, followed by a warm and spicy middle of pepper and turmeric. The finish is long and slightly earthy, with a hint of exotic spices.
The spiciness is most pronounced when served neat over ice. For a Gin & Tonic, a neutral tonic with a slice of ginger or a chili garnish is recommended. In a Negroni, the spiciness balances the bitterness of the Campari well.
