Bobby's Gin – a family journey. Grandfather Bobby Alfons emigrated from the Moluccas to the Netherlands, but sorely missed the flavors of his homeland. Lemongrass, cloves, cinnamon, coriander, cubeb peppers – these were the spices he used to refine his genever. Decades later, his grandsons Sebastiaan and David decided to rediscover the family tradition. The idea came about during a long discussion at the dinner table: "How about Grandfather Bobby's recipe?" With the help of Aunt Betty, they remembered Pinang Raci, the traditional spice blend. And so Bobby's Gin was born. A piece of family history, captured in a bottle.

Bobby's Gin —
Family recipe between Amsterdam and the Moluccas
Bobby's Gin is not a product from the trend lab, but a family story that spans two generations and thousands of kilometers. Grandfather Bobby Alfons emigrated from the Moluccas to the Netherlands and refined his genever with the spices of his home: lemongrass, cloves, cinnamon, coriander, and cubeb pepper — the so-called Pinang Raci mixture, which is deeply rooted in Indonesian cuisine.
Decades later, his grandsons Sebastiaan and David sat at the dining table and wondered if this recipe could be revived. With the help of Aunt Betty, they reconstructed the spice mixture and developed a dry gin from it that bridges the gap between Dutch distillation tradition and the Southeast Asian world of aromas. The result is a gin with unusual depth: warm, spicy, with a light citrus note and the characteristic pepper finish of the cubeb pepper.
Bobby's Gin is suitable as a base for a classic G&T with ginger tonic as well as neat on ice — wherever a gin with character and origin is required.
